As we play hole 4, the train passes by from time to time. It’s the Dummy Line, thus the name for the hole. In 1895, there were no paved roads to East Milwaukee, so most opted for the train. Folks heading even further north from the city must be on their way to George Bently’s Whitefish Bay Inn (later to be purchased by John and Anna Pandl) or the Pabst Whitefish Bay Resort. I hear that the beer garden is lovely...
A cold Pabst Beer sounds pretty good right about now. Then, later tonight, a little Pabst Extract to help me sleep.
