In 1895 Shorewood was not Shorewood - it was simply the north end of The Town of Milwaukee. Renamed to East Milwaukee in 1900 and then Shorewood in 1917. From 1895 to 1911, this was the original home of The Milwaukee Country Club and one of the first 9 hole golf courses in the 44 United States!
Through the assistance of modern technology, our hard working staff of Shorewood historians have pinpointed the original location of all nine Tee Boxes and Greens of the original golf course.
