In 1911 The Milwaukee Country Club found a new home in River Hills. This afforded the ability to spread out a full 18 hole course as houses closed in around them here in Shorewood.
Today, Shorewood is OUR home that we love and adore. You can find out more about your own home at The Shorewood Historical Society which was helpful in creating today’s tour. Additional information can be found through the Milwaukee County Historical Society.
A special thanks as well to The Shorewood Foundation for making today’s tour possible.
We’re happy to hear from you if you have any feedback on today’s tour. History research can be tricky and there are often contradictory events, names, dates, etc. that can be difficult to decipher. Maybe you even have an old photograph, score card, trophy or memorabilia that you’d like to share a picture of. Please feel free to reach out to [email protected]
We, The Gentlemen of Shorewood thank you for joining us and safe travels on YOUR journey home...

We, The Gentlemen of Shorewood thank you for joining us and safe travels on YOUR journey home...
The sunset slowly tells the death of day.
At last deserted in each sand-strewn tee.
The caddie homeward wends his weary way.
And leaves the links to silence and to me.

The caddie homeward wends his weary way.
And leaves the links to silence and to me.
