- When you are ready... make your way down to the sand!
- Take the plunge in the beautiful refreshing waters of Lake Michigan
- Bring your own towel and dry recovery cloths.
- Be sure to pose for the spontaneous picture with a LIVE POLAR BEAR!
- All courageous plungers will receive a SILVER SPOON... more on that later

Five local Shorewood establishments will be serving chili throughout the day. Be sure to try all five and decide which one is your favorite. Remember those Gold and Silver Spoons? Drop them in the designated mason jar at your chosen establishment. The location with the most spoons by 4pm wins!
- Each individual can potentially have 2 spoons (votes). One for making a Kinship Donation and one for taking the plunge. Each spoon is simply 1 vote. Split your vote or drop them both in the same location. You're the boss.
- Each of the 5 establishments will provide you with one small sample taste. You can purchase a whole bowl if you wish.
