What you Need to Know

Maybe you should write this down:
  • Race day is Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025
  • Race starts at 9:06 sharp.
  • Rubber Stamp pickup starts at 8:45am (ish).
  • Starting line will be checkpoint #1 - Hubbard Park Beer Garden.
    • $120 per team.
    • Sign up HERE
    • Kids under 21 are $15 each. 
    • 100% of this money will go to the charity of your choice on the sign up page.
      • Kinship MKE - Formerly known as Riverwest Food Pantry
      • SEED - Increasing Shorewood's educational innovation opportunities
      • Derek Chappell Scholarship Fund - at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee
      • Shorewood MTB - Shorewood's Middle and High School Coed Mountain Biking Team
  • Helmets and night lights are REQUIRED!  
  • Follow all SIX check points in order to complete 1 lap. 
  • One rider completing one lap is worth 12 points. If all 4 team members ride a full lap together, it's worth 100 points!
  • Rubber stamps for checking in at each checkpoint will be provided.
  • Each team member must complete at least 1 full lap.
  • Spend your day doing laps OR take on one of the challenges for Bonus Points - you do not HAVE to be racing all day long if that's not your thing.
  • Remember, riders can do laps one at a time, or all together for Extra Points (hint - hint... wink - wink)

Bonus Laps

  • A full list of additional bonus lap challenges will soon be available and will be finalized the Friday prior to race day. All of these bonus laps help support local businesses and build community in Shorewood.
  • Keep track of your team's bonus lap challenge completions on the board at checkpoint #1. It's all on the honor system.  Do your own math.
  • At 9:06pm (or when your team is toast) tally your laps + bonus laps on the lap board at checkpoint #1.
  • Results of the event will be announced around 9:07 at Hubbard Park, so be sure to stick around.
  • The winning and losing teams will receive the honor of having their team name on the infamous Shorewood 12 Win/Lose Trophy!
  • The traveling trophy for Lap Rat (most laps by one team) will also be awarded.
  • What are you doing just sitting here?  Get on your bike and familiarize yourself with the race course!
