What you Need to Know

Maybe you should write this down:
  • Race day is Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023 at 9:30 sharp.
  • Rubber Stamp pickup starts at 9am.
    • Starting line will be checkpoint 1 - Hubbard Park Beer Garden. $120 per team.
    • Sign up HERE
    • Kids under 21 are $15 each. 
    • 100% of this money will go to the charity of your choice on the sign up page.
      • Kinship MKE - formerly known as Riverwest Food Pantry
      • MKE Urban Trail Connections - helping to get more kids on bikes in Milwaukee
      • Derek Chappell Scholarship Fund - at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee
  • Race starts at 9:30am on the dot.  The starting line is checkpoint #1.
  • Helmets and night lights are REQUIRED!  
  • Follow all check points in order to complete 1 lap.
  • Rubber stamps for checking in at each checkpoint will be provided.
  • Each team member must complete at least 1 full lap.
  • Only 1 team member can be racing and checking in at a time. This is the rider that is wearing the team rubber stamp.
  • Spend your day doing laps OR take on one of the challenges for bonus laps

Bonus Laps

  • A full list of additional bonus lap challenges is now available and will be finalized the Friday prior to race day. Many of these bonus laps help support local businesses in Shorewood.
  • Keep track of your team's bonus lap challenge completions on the board at checkpoint #1. It's all on the honor system.  Do your own math.
  • At 9:30pm (or when your team is toast) tally your laps + bonus laps on the lap board at checkpoint #1.
  • Results of the event will be announced by 10pm and emailed to team leaders. The winning and losing teams will receive the honor of having their team name on the infamous Shorewood 12 Win/Lose Trophy! The traveling trophy for Lap Rat (most laps by one team) will also be awarded.
  • What are you doing just sitting here?  Get on your bike and familiarize yourself with the race course!
